.xyz domains
A cheap, flexible generic extension
Launched in 2014 as one of the new generic extensions, .xyz has no fixed meaning, which makes it a blank canvas for projects, crypto and web3 names and experiments. Alphabet famously chose abc.xyz for its investor site.

Open to anyone worldwide through an accredited registrar.
Registry: XYZ.com LLC (now part of GoDaddy Registry)
Best for
- Side projects and experiments
- Web3 and crypto projects

Finding a good .xyz name
First-year prices are often promotional; check the renewal price before you buy. Short numeric .xyz names have an active niche market.
